Below are descriptions of AWS, Google and Fast LTA technology for moving bulk data. You’ll be talking to Fast LTA about usage cases and features for this class of product.

AWS Snowball
Move data only to AWS
Even though high speed Internet connections are available in many parts of the world, transferring terabytes or petabytes of data from an existing data center to the cloud remains challenging. Snowball is designed for customers that need to move lots of data (generally 10 terabytes or more) to AWS on a one-time or recurring basis. You simply request one or more from the AWS Management Console and wait a few days for the appliance to be delivered to your site. If you want to import a lot of data, you can order one or more Snowball appliances and run them in parallel.

Google Transfer Appliance
Move data only to Google
The Transfer Appliance is a rackable high-capacity storage server that you set up in your data center. Fill it up with data and then ship it to us, and we upload your data to Google Cloud Storage. With capacity of up to one-petabyte compressed, Transfer Appliance helps you migrate your data orders-of-magnitude faster than over a typical network. The appliance encrypts your data at capture, and you decrypt it when it reaches its final cloud destination, helping to get it to the cloud safely.

Unlike Google or AWS, you can move the data anywhere you want, and without copying any data. Just insert and go! The Silent Brick storage container is the heart of all Silent Brick Systems and has been designed as a rugged and removable online and offlline data container.
