Dell Voted Market Leader in Four Categories; Pure Storage Voted Innovation Leader in Three Categories; Intel® Optane™ Persistent Memory Repeats; MemVerge and NGD Systems are New Market Leaders
SAN CLEMENTE, CA—November 17, 2020— IT Brand Pulse, a trusted source for research, data and analysis about data center infrastructure, today announced the results of 2020 IT pro voting for flash brand leaders. Once a year the independent, non-sponsored surveys asks which vendors are perceived to be the market, price, performance, reliability, service and support, and innovation leader for nine flash-related product categories.
“In this round of surveys, Dell Technologies flexed their brand muscles by dominating IT voting in four flash storage categories” said Frankie Berry, Managing Partner and Brand Leader Analyst, IT Brand Pulse. “In the two emerging markets of Big Memory Software and Computational Storage, MemVerge and NGD Systems are establishing early incumbency for brand leadership.”
All-Flash SAN Array
For the fourth consecutive year, IT Pros selected Dell Technologies as Market Leader for All-Flash SAN Array. Dell Technologies was also voted Price, Performance, Reliability, and Service & Support Leader.
All-Flash NAS Array
In this year’s survey, Dell Technologies managed to prevail over competitive rival NetApp to sweep all six categories of brand leadership for All-Flash NAS Array.

A perennial winner as brand leader for most types of storage systems, Dell Technologies was voted Market, Price, Performance, Innovation, and Service & Support leader for All-Flash HDD/SSD Array.
All-Flash Scale-Out & File Object Storage Systems
Dell technologies secured IT Pros’ votes for Market, Price, Performance, Reliability, and Service & Support Leader in our first year covering All-Flash Scale-Out & File Object Storage Systems.

Big Memory Software
In the first annual survey for Big Memory Software, MemVerge was chosen as the leader in all six categories of brand leadership. This category is expected to splinter in the years ahead as different types of Big Memory Software come to market.
While the company was not voted market leader in any category, Pure Storage was selected as the innovation leader for 3 types of products, All-Flash SAN Arrays, On-Prem All-Flash Storage-as-a-Service and Scale-Out File & Object Systems. This is validation of the well-earned reputation the company has earned for its ability to innovate on otherwise mature storage technology.
