IT Pros Vote 2020 Brand Leaders for Flash

Dell Voted Market Leader in Four Categories; Pure Storage Voted Innovation Leader in Three Categories; Intel® Optane™ Persistent Memory Repeats; MemVerge and NGD Systems are New Market Leaders

SAN CLEMENTE, CA—November 17, 2020IT Brand Pulse, a trusted source for research, data and analysis about data center infrastructure, today announced the results of 2020 IT pro voting for flash brand leaders. Once a year the independent, non-sponsored surveys asks which vendors are perceived to be the market, price, performance, reliability, service and support, and innovation leader for nine flash-related product categories.

Survey Highlights

Dell Technologies
All-Flash SAN Array
For the fourth consecutive year, IT Pros selected Dell Technologies as Market Leader for All-Flash SAN Array. Dell Technologies was also voted Price, Performance, Reliability, and Service & Support Leader.

All-Flash NAS Array
In this year’s survey, Dell Technologies managed to prevail over competitive rival NetApp to sweep all six categories of brand leadership for All-Flash NAS Array.

All-Flash HDD/SSD Array
A perennial winner as brand leader for most types of storage systems, Dell Technologies was voted Market, Price, Performance, Innovation, and Service & Support leader for All-Flash HDD/SSD Array.

All-Flash Scale-Out & File Object Storage Systems
Dell technologies secured IT Pros’ votes for Market, Price, Performance, Reliability, and Service & Support Leader in our first year covering All-Flash Scale-Out & File Object Storage Systems.

HPE
On-Prem All-Flash Storage-as-a-Service
For the second consecutive year, IT Pros selected HPE as Market Leader for On-Prem All-Flash Storage-as-a-Service. HPE was also selected as Price, Performance, Reliability, and Service & Support Leader.

Intel
NVDIMM
IT Pros voted Intel Market, Price, Performance, Reliability, Innovation, and Service and Support leader for NVDIMM. This is the third consecutive year intel has been selected as Market Leader.

NGD Systems
Computational Storage
IT Pros selected NGD Systems over Samsung in voting for brand leadership in the emerging technology arena of Computational Storage. This is a testament to the storage presence the company has maintained with industry marketing organizations and in social media.

MemVerge
Big Memory Software
In the first annual survey for Big Memory Software, MemVerge was chosen as the leader in all six categories of brand leadership. This category is expected to splinter in the years ahead as different types of Big Memory Software come to market.

Pure Storage
Innovation Leader
While the company was not voted market leader in any category, Pure Storage was selected as the innovation leader for 3 types of products, All-Flash SAN Arrays, On-Prem All-Flash Storage-as-a-Service and Scale-Out File & Object Systems.
