IT Pros Vote 2020 Storage Brand Leaders
Dell Technologies Voted Market Leader in Nine Product Categories; Microsoft Chosen for Two Products. Western Digital Displaces Seagate as Leader for Enterprise HDDs. Veritas Continues to be a Leader for Distributed Database Backup & Recovery.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — April 6, 2020 — IT Brand Pulse, a trusted source for research, data and analysis about data center infrastructure, today announced the results of 2020 IT pro voting for Storage Brand Leaders. Once a year the independent, non-sponsored survey asks which vendors are perceived to be the market, price, performance, reliability, innovation, and service and support leader for 14 storage-related product categories.
“This year’s survey results highlight a trend that frustrates technology pioneers.” said Samantha Griffin, Manager of Brand Leader Research, IT Brand Pulse. “Small companies will develop and bring new technology to market, enjoying their moment in the spotlight before the “big guys” enter the market to seize brand leadership. In this round of surveys, Dell EMC, Veritas, Microsoft, VMware and NetApp brands displaced the companies that made the distributed database backup, file synch & share, ageless storage, scale-out file and object storage, and storage performance validation markets.”
Dell EMC
Ageless Storage
Ageless Storage has a new leader as IT Pros vote Dell EMC the Market leader, dethroning former two-time Market leader, Pure Storage – this year’s Innovation leader.
